Wines of Israel
Lecture and tastings:
Monday, May 5, 2008
From Biblical times, people in the “land of milk and honey” have also been making renowned wines. Today, Israel is reinventing the style of wine from the Holy Land. Gone are the stereotypical sweet wines; in their place are cool-climate Chardonnay, Riesling and Cabernet Sauvignon from the Golan Heights, Galilee and Judean Hills. Taste a variety of Israeli wines and probe why today’s young winemakers are gaining global notice.
Class taught by Adam Chase, Wine Educator.
