Cultural Anniversaries: Israel at 60, Messiaen at 100
An International Evening of Contemporary
Israeli and French Music

An evening honoring the 100th birthday of Oliver Messiaen by featuring the “Quartet for the End of Time” and celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Israel by featuring the music of Israeli composers. This program will include a work written in response to the Messiaen by composer and teacher Menachem Wiesenberg, performed by a classical quartet of Israeli and French musicians, and lead by Israeli clarinetist Moran Katz.
