Chen is caught in the middle of the cultural conflict raging between his Russian-born mother and his Israeli father. One day he stumbles on a ballroom dance class for young people and sees Natalie, a stunning young Russian girl with whom he immediately falls in love. His interest in Natalie results in his taking ballroom dancing classes and ultimately bridging the cultural divide in his own family - with the help of the Cha-cha-cha and the Tango.
Chen's teachers are former world champions from Russia who never quite fulfilled their potential and who find themselves battling their own demons while training their young students.

סיפור חצי רוסי הוא סיפור אהבה והתבגרות. חן, צבר ביישן וגמלוני בן 13 גר באשדוד עם אביו הישראלי, ואמו עולה חדשה. היחסים בין ההורים מעורערים וחן, ילד רגיש, בודד וביישן מטבעו, נמנע מקשר עם בנות גילו. כל הקלפים נטרפים כשחן פוגש את נטלי, ילדה מסתורית ויפהפייה בת גילו ומתאהב בה. נטלי רוקדת בחוג לריקודים סלוניים. כדי לכבוש את לבה, חן שם לו למטרה להיות בן הזוג שלה בתחרות הריקודים הארצית ההולכת ומתקרבת. יוליה, המורה הקשוחה והצינית, המוסקבאית שאינה מאמינה בדמעות, מצרה את צעדיו הראשונים של חן בעולם הריקוד, אך נכבשת בהדרגה בקסמיה של אהבתו הרומנטית והופכת למדריכתו הקשוחה לעניינים שבלב (2005). עברית עם כתוביות באנגלית
