הנכם מוזמנים לסדרת מפגשים המספרים את סיפור התפתחותה של האמנות הישראלית במשך ששת העשורים לקיומה של מדינת ישראל. המפגשים יעסקו במבט אמנותי-היסטורי-חברתי באמנויות השונות שהתפתחו בישראל כגון: ציור, צילום, פיסול, ווידאו ארט ועוד.

מפגש חמישי: שנות התשעים
בעשור האחרון של המאה החלה התקרבות משמעותית של הקהל הישראלי אל האמנות. דו שיח מרתק בין צילום וציור החל להעלות נושאים אישיים וספקניים יותר המאתגרים את שאלת ערכן של המקוריות וההעתקה. מוזיאונים וגלריות החלו להציג עבודות של דור אמנים חדש המתרכז ברעיונות שאינם מוגבלים לטכניקה מסוימת ומתעמקים בנושאיהם בגישות חדשות של מולטימדיה.

ההרצאות ינתנו ע"י האמנית מיכל גביש שעבודותיה הוצגו בארץ ובארה"ב ולאחרונה בגלריית האמנים של .SFMOMA מיכל גביש בעלת תואר PhD בכימיה, משלימה בימים אלה את לימודיה לתואר שני באמנות ב- San Francisco Art Institute, ומקיימת באופן קבוע סיורי גלריות בנושא אמנות עכשווית.

You are invited to a series of lectures on Israeli art. The series follows the story of art and its development in the first six decades of the state of Israel. The lectures will cover various genres such as painting, photography, sculpture and video art from an artistic, historic and social perspective.

The lectures will be given by Michal Gavish, PhD, whose works were exhibited in Israel and in the United States, including her most recent show at the SFMOMA Artists Gallery. Michal Gavish is currently completing her MFA degree at the San Francisco Art Institute. In addition she regularly lectures on art and also conducts bimonthly gallery tours on the subject of Contemporary Art.

Fifth Meeting: The 1990’s
During the last decade of the century, Israeli Art started to get closer to the general audience. A fascinating dialogue was initiated between photography and painting, raising issues of authenticity and the copy. Museums and galleries started showing works of new and younger artists who presented their concepts from a personal perspective. These works were no longer limited to a specific genre but investigated concepts through multi media installations.
